Design Highlights

Feng Shui Alignment

• Our client had three spaces to tackle for this project, and we made sure to analyze each one for it’s location within the home and which elements needed to be emphasized:

  • From Playroom to Sunroom Sanctuary

    • Our client is an on-call health care professional, and we went to work reclaiming the kids’ playroom and converting it to a sanctuary for private rest and rejuvenation

  • From Cramped Powder Room to Whimsical Water Closet

    • The powder room needed personality, and we joyfully responded to whimsical inspiration images with custom features to transport visitors through the looking glass.

  • From Leaky Bathtub to Pristine Primary Bath

    • What began with a leaky bathtub evolved into a symphony of natural stone, rich wood texture, and vibrant polished nickel finishes - reimagining this primary bathroom for ultimate relaxation.

From Cluttered to Customized

• Storage is always the top issue for every project:

  • In the Sunroom, we designed custom built-ins to house the home’s expanding book collection and the homeowner’s sentimental items. An area for a bar and locking liquor cabinet seamlessly blends into the space.

  • In the powder room, custom live-edge counter and shelving provided additional storage, as well as an antique art-deco medicine cabinet sourced from Brussels.

  • The Primary Bathroom received a new custom vanity, medicine cabinets with storage, and bespoke shelving made from the Tiffany green slab we featured for the shower wall and vanity top

Creating a Whimsical World

• Our client had such wonderful mood boards, we were so excited to translate her vision:

  • The Sunroom features a blown-glass chandelier, with ceramic and gold leaf goldfish circling around above. We wanted to create a koi pond feeling to echo the client’s recent trip to Japan and bring in a minimalist, natural point of view with some unexpected fun!

  • The half bath transformed into a whimsical woodland world - behind the garden green door, another world is revealed - complete with hand finished brass fixtures and a stunning stone vessel sink.

  • The primary bathroom is an expression of natural materials - Tiffany Green quartzite takes the stage, and a custom water-jet cut tile feature floats above the bathtub. A pecky cypress ceiling warms up the space and polished nickel features add subtle vibrancy.
